Dungeons & Dragons is a super-popular tabletop role-playing game. There have been numerous titles released in digital format for players to enjoy on their consoles and gaming rigs, but many have failed to replicate the magic of tabletop. That could change as Backflip Studios is looking to bring a new Dungeons & Dragons game to mobile platforms and it's set to introduce some neat features.
Backflip has announced that it's creating a new mobile game and while it doesn't look like the tabletop role-playing game, the development team is working hard to implement some key elements. The team will also look to add some unique touches to the game, including real-time combat (as shown in the development video below) as opposed to the usual turn-based. That all said, looking at the video itself, it does seem as though this could be a freemium title, which could put off some of the potential player base.
Not much else is known about the upcoming title, including which platforms it will be released on. We'll hopefully have more details in the near future, but it's certainly one to keep an eye on. It's safe to not expect a hardcore Dungeons & Dragons experience, but an easily approachable title for everyone to enjoy on their mobile device.
What would you like to see in this game?

Now that Apple has closed its acquisition of Beats, the iPhone-maker has released its first ad highlighting products from both brands. In a new 30-second spot, Apple is showing the Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker working together with Siri.
The ad is titled Today is the day. Invitation Only, noting that "Apple and Beats have joined forces. Be sure to click on the source link below to watch the video.
The video seems a little odd in that it sets a very neutered tone for Siri.
The Beats Pills ask Siri for the direction to "Dre's party," to which Siri responds that the party is "by invitation only." When the Beats Pills ask for further instructions, Siri's closing line is, "Sorry, I didn't get that."
Should Apple have ended on a more positive note for Siri's capabilities than "sorry, I didn't get that." Granted, sometimes Siri doesn't understand what you're saying, but if an ad is created to highlight a product it seems rather bizarre for Apple to confess that Siri may not understand its human users. Sorry, Apple, we really didn't get that ad.
What do you think of Apple's latest ad.

Tim Cook publicly welcomed Microsoft Office for iPad via Twitter today, and Apple will be taking a 30% cut of all in-app purchase revenue from the new apps. This is standard practice for the App Store and means that Microsoft will indeed be surrendering a cut of all Office 365 subscriptions it sells that way. So, there's every reason for Apple to be doubly excited. Re/code:
Indeed, Microsoft does offer Office 365 subscriptions within the just-released Word for iPad and the other Office apps and, yes, it is paying the 30 percent cut, Apple confirmed to Re/code. Microsoft declined to comment on the matter.
Apple has taken a hard line with all manner of publishers that want to sell things, even subscriptions that go well beyond the iPad content — if anything is sold in the app, they have to use Apple’s method and hand over 30 percent.
It sounds like a fair amount of money – especially given how much a subscription costs – but it's important for the App Store that Apple hasn't shown any favoritism. Smaller developers have to surrender 30% so the big guns shouldn't ever be allowed to avoid that, either.
It's interesting Microsoft opted to go this route, though. Google offers no in-app purchases in its content delivery apps like Google Play Music presumably to avoid handing Apple any of its revenue. Microsoft is taking a hit in the wallet for offering a better purchase experience to iPad customers.
So, it's a double whammy for Apple. The huge arrival of Office for iPad at long last and a cut from any Office 365 subscriptions sold through the apps. What's not to like about that?

Heading out for a fun night of jokes and movie promotions, Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner made an appearance on "The Daily Show" with John Stewart.
The four stars offered John handfuls of odd gifts, and when Carell sat at the center, John focused on him, asking the 51-year-old: "Dish some dirt on your co-stars."
Through the "40-Year-Old Virgin" star, we've found that Will Ferrell is a "drunken p***k on stage," David Koechner "loves pornography," and that Paul Rudd "is not aging in a normal human way!"
After the fun "dirt-slinging," John literally jumped on the stars, sparking a wrestling match, which then led to his gifts being distributed among the audience. Watch the video below!
Shared Links are new to iOS 7. With them, you can see a list of all the links shared by everyone you follow on Twitter, all in one convenient place inside Safari. Think of it as a Reading List populated by people you find interesting. It's a great place to go if you have time and are looking for something serendipitous to read, but you have to know where to look if you want to find it.
That's all there is to it. Shared Links is one easy to use place to manage all your links. Currently Twitter is the only kind of link supported but we'd imagine over time we may see Apple expand the service to others as well. You can also use Shared Links in Safari for OS X Mavericks, so make sure you check that out as well!
Note: If you don't see anything under Shared Links, go into Settings > Twitter and make sure you're signed in.

These are obviously two different blocks with two different colors right? Wrong. The two blocks are the same color. Seriously, they're the same shade of gray. Just place your finger across the seam (where the blocks meet in the middle) to reveal the illusion. Just crazy.
